Happiness and Sadness are a part & parcel of everyone’s life. These two opposite words are generally symbolized with “Day & Night”; “Silver lining of the Moon”; “Dawn & Dusk” and many more such comparisons….Although we all experience Happiness and Sadness throughout our life; there are certain factors that have an unending and undesirable affect on us, that act as a barrier towards our Happiness.
These Factors, If Analyzed Deeply, Can Help Us Overcome Our Saddened Situations And Increase Our Moments Of Happiness In Life
Constant Effort To Keep Everyone Happy
Some of us are so engaged towards ensuring that everyone around us are HAPPY, that we tend to forget our own self. In trying, to keep everyone happy, we lose out our happiness. We forget to enjoy ourselves and be happy and the worst thing that crops up is, if in case anyone of them shows unhappiness for any of our act or statements, we spend hours and days thinking over the issue, which in general may not be of much importance. Think of others but don’t ruin your happiness for petty disturbances that come your way.
Finance (MONEY) to meet the daily needs of life and cater to the demands of the loved ones has always been a concern for ALL. This is one such factor that can make a person take any drastic step in life. The very thought of it, creates tension and unease in the minds of people. Some handle it wisely but others fall prey to it. They become frustrated, irritated and gloomy. We need to learn to balance the situation and spread Love, Joy and Happiness amongst all these thoughts. Though Money plays a major role in life, it isn’t everything in Life. Some Rich people are still short of Happiness.
Human Beings are always on the race to achieve success professionally. We all do. But some individuals are so affected by failures on this front or office politics that hinders them to climb towards the ladder of success, that they forget to SMILE even. When affected by such a situation, try your best to find the right path forward but don’t hang on to the thoughts of it for long. It will only keep you feeling Sad and Distressed.
In the world of today, Competition for an individual starts as soon as he/she enters into this beautiful world. “My child should start to walk, talk, jump, dance and so on….at the earliest”. Parents tend to compare their child with every other child they come across and start creating pressure for their achievement. Similarly, when we grow up, Competition, does not limit itself to academics and career, nowadays. Competition involves in all the elements of our standard of living that we hardly have time for Happiness around.
Happiness also largely depends on the Atmosphere (Weather & Special Occasions). If the weather, outside is Hot/Humid/Irritating, our mood swings accordingly. If the weather, outside is Cool/Wet/Refreshing, our mood goes along with it. So, by large, it revolves with the revolving Earth.
Lack of Motivation
All of us do work. Be it personal or professional. But, if appreciation and motivation for the work we do does not come our way, we tend to slack back and may probably even stop it. Same thing, if followed by appreciation and motivation, renders happiness and gears us up to even do better. Though a major factor towards one’s happiness, we shouldn’t stop being happy even if there is no one to motivate. Go for Self Motivation and be Happy
No matter how wonderful your environment may be. Your house may be perfect, your loved ones may be caring, Life at large may be smooth but if you are one of those, who lack Inner Peace, Happiness for sure, is far from your reach. Build your inner peace, MEDITATE, and Life’s going to be World of Pearls.
Bound by Social Factors
Yes, we do live in with our loved ones, but we need to be in the Society as well. There are numerous social factors like grudging neighbors, rag picking individuals, shopping centers, road rage and many more where frequently we happen to indulge in some weird conversations that create a barrier to our Happiness. We need to make it short lived and not keep lingering on to it. Some individuals spend years over small disputes that could have been easily resolved years back.
We all have certain expectations with every other individual with whom we come across. Whether the concerned person is aware of our expectations or not, some of us do get low, if these expectations are not met. There are many individuals who have very well mastered the act of keeping their expectations so low that they do not let it affect their happiness. But, some of us are totally in sync with our expectations that we let it overshadow our happiness if the expectations don’t fall our way.
Try balancing these factors in LIFE and experience Happiness wherever possible.
