Infact, whenever we come across one such student of this institute, we immediately measure the level of intelligence he/she possesses. Some intelligent youngsters from IIT have made inventions that has not only gained fame for them but has also presented a global face of India and taken its technology to the acme of success. A brief account of these inventions are made below:
This e-scooter has been invented by the students of IIT Madras which can charge faster than a phone.$340 is the first e-scooter that takes an hour to charge and runs 50000 kms with its battery pack.
TRUE Hb HEMOMETER
To test people for anaemia, IIT Delhi student Ambar Srivastav, has invented this device to measure the hemoglobin level of people even while sitting at home. The efficiency of this device has been approved by All India Institute Of Medical Science (AIIMS) as it can perform 300 tests and stores upto 1000 readings.
Named Netra and invented by IIT Bombay students, this unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) helps the Indian armies with rescue operations during the phase of natural calamities.
WALKING ON WATER
You must be thinking about how this is possible. But IIT Bombay students, Mirik Gogri and Ayush Jain, have made this practicable and has introduced this as a game in amusement parks, parties and events.
The same duo have invented these t-shirts on which one can re-write and delete too. This kickass idea had become a hot selling commodity on most online shopping websites.
PORTABLE HOUSE FOR CONSTRUCTION WORKERS
Students of IIT Ghandinagar- Deep Karke,Nihar Kotak and Sumit Deshmukh, wanted to support the living conditions of the labourers working in their campus. This benevolent act was made possible by the invention of easily dismantled and proper ventilated steel rod tent that can also provide shelter to the people suffering against a natural calamity.
ALCOHOL SENSING HELMET
Named the Advanced Breathanalyser Helmet, this invention by IIT –BHU students will not let you start a bike if you are drunk. This invention was even listed among the 5 short listed products at the Ericson Innovation Awards held at IIT-Delhi.
DUAL PIN STAPLER
This device has been designed by Suyash Patkar, Spandan Das and Saurabh Garg – students of IIT-Gandhinagar. This stapler provides the usage of both large and small size pins, as per one’s requirement.
Invented by Krishna Bharat, an alumni of IIT-Madras, is one of the most popular features of Google. Krishna had invented this service to keep himself abreast of all the developments around the world.
Known as Witworks Rewind, this light weight device does not let our ear phones to get entangled. It has been invented by intelligent minds of IIT-Kharagpur and is quite an affordable priced device.
This is the brainchild of IIT-Delhi students and is a communication system that can connect us to our loved ones when in distress. A smart phone app paired with a prototype jewelry piece, alerts our closed ones when one is in danger by just tapping twice on a push button set on the jewelry piece. It also uses multiple cellular phone towers to transmit data thus successful in saving a life plunged in danger.
3D DISPLAY AND USER INTERFACE
This device provides us with a 3 dimensional image of the product we want to buy online. It has been developed by the students of IIT-Kharagpur.
Invented by Rhodes-Oxford and IIT-Delhi scholar, Rohan Paul, this cane helps blind people to detect obstacles that come on their paths. This device can help a blind to identify any obstacle that are above knee level and upto a distance of 3 meters.
Invented by a team of 20 IIT Bombay students, this invention helps in marine research , rescue operations and navigation.
This device can help filter unwanted sounds and provide us with clear hearing while listening to music or talking over the phone with the help of this. It has been invented by IIT-Roorkee students-Parth Gaggar and Vijay Jain.
Presently the Global Vice President of Research at Samsung, Pranav Mistry is a student of IIT Mumbai. On his list of smart inventions we have Sixthsense, Mouseless-an invisible computer mouse, Sparsh- a novel way to copy paste between digital devices and a public map that can act as the same functionary of Google. The smart watch of Samsung Galaxy Gear is his brainchild.
These smart inventions by IIT students has taken technology of India to the plummet of success. These inventions have not only eased our life in many ways but has taken technology to a whole new level.
